A NEW PERFUME BY ATELIERPMP

Nardstar*

If you have ever had the opportunity of seeing a Nardstar* piece grace the walls of South Africa or America, you know you’ve seen something unique. A combination of interlocking letters, animals, layers of colours and shapes that distort yet form a dynamic picture are all aspects of Nard’s work.

Nard grew up in Cape Town, South Africa admiring the style and rebelliousness of graffiti splashed on the walls. Nard honed her wall painting technique by concentrating on basic letter fills, line and colour work.

In addition to being an experienced graffiti writer, Nard has a background in graphic design that adds to her artwork. Vivid portraits, caricatures of animals or abstract shapes are all staples of Nard’s style.

Nard’s work has appeared on walls throughout South Africa and America most recently at The Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn. Her signature rendering of animals with bright colours and organic shapes has caught the eye of photographers and bloggers worldwide.

Nard custom designs graphics for skateboards, skimboards, t-shirts, sneakers and helmets, as well as painting canvases and designing prints.

And we are super proud that Nard has done her interpretation of Concrete Flower. The results are stunning and beautiful!

TERE

TERE is based in Singapore and has travelled the world. When Daniel from AtelierPMP met TERE, it was love on first sight. The artist finds many different forms to find self-expressions, either in playing with gender roles and the concepts of beauty, but also in calligraphy.

For Concrete Flower he interpreted the name of our perfume. In Chinese he translated it into “flower blossom from a wall“, a wonderful way to rephrase „Concrete Flower“.

And he made two calligraphies: one more traditional and one more Chinese Graffiti-style!

We love both and say Thank you! to TERE!!

1122

Elfzweiundzwanzig are making their very own kind of music: a sexy combination of witty lyrics and beats with the punch of a Hummer.

Their topics are the banalities of life and the bizarre daily world we all life in. Elfzweiundzwanzig are clever enough to put the absurdities we all face everyday into lyrics that can make you smile and they caress these insights with variosounding ueber catchy sample beats.

For Conrete Flower the charming bunch gave their track „Guacamole“ to support the stunning videos of film-maker and media artist Ceven Knowles. The results of this collaboration are the best way to capture the power and spirit of Concrete Flower:

BADEK CHAMELEONS

(& Dets, Bex, Buzz, Clone (Bronx) und Risko)

This mural was created by members from „The Chameleons“, „The Real Street Kings“ and „The Uzi Cru“. Further more by Clone from NYC who completed the team.

The concept for the mural is based on individual freedom: only the black frames – like in a cartoon – construct the cohesional framework for the mural. There were no rules or guidelines for the separate pics: it was all about individual creativity.

The ‘carnivorous’ plants can be understood as ‘concrete flowers’ that are taking over public space in creative ways, simply to leave the conventional paths of creativity, that means in short: Graffiti!

Starting from the larger plant brambles are winding through all the different styles; a metaphor for our passion to do exactly this. It is the component that is linking and will link all our doings.

BEX/Chameleons, UZI, started in the early 90ties

BUZZ/Chameleons, started in the late 80ties

BADEK/Chameleons, started in the early 90ties

DETS/ Chameleons, RSK, started in the late 80ties

RISKO/RSK, GK, started in the late 90ties and works also for “The Ghetto Kings” from Steilshoop

Jan van Endert

Jan van EndertPhotographer Jan van Endert is mostly known for his work for the big car brands in the world: he is the one to create the dynamic portrait of the latest car model in the depth of the Chilenian mountains or in the hyper modern world of Japanese steel and glass. Or he documents with his camera the work of a big European car brand in different car races. But his creativity doesn‘t stop there and he just won a number of prices for his photo work showing a totally new view on different sport facilities around Europe.

We at AtelierPMP could not have been happier when Jan agreed to shoot the campaign photos for Concrete Flower: a modern twist on the ancient idea of still life paintings! Thank you so much!

The KTE-crew are a bunch of street artists from all over Northern Germany. They honoured us by creating their interpretation of „Concrete Flower“! The astonishing mural was created over 6 hours (on one of the hottest days in 2014) and is a wonderful creation that celebrates our perfume and the unique bottle.

Maik Schulz

Maik Schulz is a young photographer from the Hamburg area with deep roots in Hip Hop and Graffiti cultures. His work and his connections made it possibly for us to collaborate with great artists like 1122 or the KTE Crew. This gave the whole project ‚Concrete Flower’ a really true authentic base.
